Amy Filip

Amy is a senior majoring in Sociology. Amy’s interest in violence prevention work began when she became a Sexual Assault Facilitation and Education Peer Educator in 2018. This work fostered her passion for violence prevention work. In 2019, Amy became a Student Leader of Sexual Assault Facilitation and Education where she updates program content, crafts new workshops, and supports her team. Amy works with some of the most incredible students on campus, and she feels so lucky to know so many wonderful activists. Amy organizes the Student Violence Prevention Coalition, a group of student leaders engaging in a variety of violence prevention work. She cares deeply about the well-being of community and believes in leading with compassion. Amy plans on engaging in violence prevention work for years to come, and is thrilled to be joining the Elsie Hillman Scholars community this year.
