Danielle Floyd

Danielle Floyd is a rising Junior, who is from Columbia, Maryland, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, along with a minor in Chemistry and a certificate in Global Health. In her time at Pitt, she has found a home in Rho Psi Eta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Black Action Society, The Mental Health Student Coalition, and Student Government Board (as a member of the First Year Council, then as the chair of the Wellness committee, and now as the Vice President of Initiatives for the upcoming board).

She is a founding member on the Peer Survivors Support Network. She is also a Maternal Child Health Equity Scholar, where she networked and collaborated on projects related to health equity & maternal and child health. Her involvements have strengthened her passion to pursue a career as a physician with a focus on addressing health inequities that plague underrepresented groups. In her free time, you can often find her enjoying the outdoors or cooking up a new recipe.
