Hosea Wah

Hosea Wah is a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying Information Science with a minor in History. Hosea is passionate about fighting for the rights of all students to acquire an enriching K-12 public school education that prepares them to serve as positive agents outside the walls of a classroom. At the University of Pittsburgh, Hosea is an AmeriCorps member under the program Jumpstart, enabling him and his classmates to serve local underprivileged preschoolers in the Pittsburgh area to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. Additionally, he has also conducted summer research with the Office of Undergraduate Research, focusing on how historical housing practices and general residency correlate with the academic success of marginalized students in the public school system. Altogether, Hosea is eager to work with a local Pittsburgh community organization that similarly shares his passion for education reform and a commitment to all students' success, not some, across the nation.
