Ritika Segireddy

Ritika is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh hailing from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She is pursuing degrees in Neuroscience and Philosophy and a certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. At Pitt, she is a patient care attendant at UPMC Presbyterian, an undergraduate research assistant at Al Diri Lab, and a volunteer at the Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. She is also involved with student organizations as the president of Steel City Sapna, vice president of HOSA, and brother of Phi Delta Epsilon. In her free time, you can find her trying new Pittsburgh restaurants or enjoying the outdoors.

Ritika’s civic interests are in spearheading and dismantling systemic disparities in healthcare. Specifically, she is very passionate about combatting the prejudice and discrimination that plagues healthcare delivery to the LGBTQI+ community. She is committed to making a positive impact by facilitating a change in the modes in which we deliver the fundamental right to medical care. Ritika’s future plans include attending medical school and practicing culturally competent medical care. She is dedicated to optimizing the health in her community through organ systems and sincere virtue signaling.
